Effective August 8, 2011, Qwest will begin doing business as CenturyLink, subject to necessary approvals. As a result, you will begin to see the CenturyLink name and logo wherever you now see the Qwest name and logo.  This includes but is not limited to changes to, company vehicles, customer bills, advertisements, product names, offerings and technician uniforms.

Additionally, beginning August 8, 2011, for any paper or electronic bill payments you submit today to Qwest, you are encouraged to change the name from Qwest to CenturyLink.  Until further notice, you should continue to utilize the standard payment address or banking information to submit either paper or electronic bill payments.

You will continue to receive services from the same Qwest or CenturyLink entity that provided you services before the merger under the same terms and conditions; only the name under which Qwest does business will change.

The companies are also combining their privacy policies.  The new policy will be posted for your review along with instructions on how to provide us your input through the privacy link at the bottom of CenturyLink.com by July 8th, and will be effective August 8th.
